Holy Trinity High School Junior Kristina Insingo of Floral Park recently began her winning year with the CHSAA State championship win in the weight throw and the CHSAA & NSCHSAA Championship wins in the shot put. She also set a new school record in both events and broke the NSCHSAA league record in the shot put.
Insingo also recently attended the Millrose Games for the weight throw event.
The Holy Trinity track and field program has given rise to many familiar names in the high school track and field arena – Olympian Shana Cox ’03, Colleen Schmidt
’11 (now running for Duke University) and Caroline Brown ’13 (now running at SUNY Buffalo) and this year, many more students are bringing attention to the school’s program.
The Spring Track and Field season is currently underway and it promises to be an exciting and successful one for the Holy Trinity Titans with a combination of experienced and talented juniors and seniors, along with up-and-coming freshmen and sophomores.
