A 42-year-old man was killed when he crashed the motorcycle he was riding in his hometown of Huntington on Thursday night.

Suffolk County police said Craig Byer was driving a Harley-Davidson on Elm Street when lost control of the motorcycle at the corner of Nassau Road, skidded into a curb and was ejected at 10 p.m.

Byer was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he died.

Second Squad detectives impounded the motorcycle, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-854-8252.
