The Baylis PTA recently hosted its annual Staff Recognition Luncheon in the school’s gymnasium. The event is held each year as an opportunity to honor the entire staff and express appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication to our children. This year the teachers enjoyed a “Thank You for Helping Us Grow” Spring-themed luncheon. The luncheon consisted of a variety of salads, pastas and hot entrees. The dessert table was full of cakes, cookies, brownies, fruit and much more. The room was decorated with colorful flower decorations colored by students, and many other festive decorations which transformed the gym into a Spring-time paradise!! Each attendee received a wonderful plant as a token of appreciation.
Lauren Goff and Michelle Kert, Baylis PTA Co-Presidents, expressed their thanks to everyone for their support of the PTA throughout the past school year. Our wonderful world culture teacher, Signora Maietta was honored in recognition of her dedication to Baylis’ staff and students with the prestigious Jenkins award. Additionally, Ms. Rubin who is retiring at the end of the school year, was recognized and the staff and PTA expressed their gratitude for the many wonderful years of service to Baylis.
Baylis teachers, faculty and staff enjoyed their special lunch. Syosset School district Superintendent Dr. Ronald Friedman and incoming Superintendent Thomas Rogers and several members of the Syosset District School Board joined us at our luncheon.
Our committee would like to thank all of the PTA volunteers who cooked, baked, donated, served, set up and cleaned up. Your help and support to make this annual event an amazing success is greatly appreciated!
