A hit-and-run driver killed a 25-year-old Brooklyn man who was rollerblading near SUNY Stony Brook University, where he was a graduate student, on Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said.

Artem Ayzen was rollerblading on North Country Road when he was struck by an eastbound truck that fled the scene shortly before 11 p.m., police said.

The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he died.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark-colored SUV with front-end damage.

Vehicular Crime Unit detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed or has information on this crash to call them at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220- TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
