An 18-year-old Dix Hills man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother and authorities are investigating the death of his 15-year-old brother, Suffolk County police said.

Charles Okonkwo, 62, called 911 when he returned to his Norman Court home after a hospital stay and found his son, Bradley Okonkwo, dead and his 52-year-old wife, Chinwe Okonkwo, unconscious with severe head injuries shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The couple’s other son, Charles Okonkwo, appeared to have fled the scene in a BMW X5, police said.

Bradley Okonkwo was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.

Chinwe Okonkwo was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she is listed in serious condition.

Officers found the younger Charles Okonkwo nearby. He was charged with assault.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information about this case to call them at 631-852-6392.
