Nassau County police are investigating a Woodmere home invasion in which a 20-year-old man was assaulted on Wednesday night.

The suspects demanded money from the victim as he exited his vehicle upon arrival at his Neptune Avenue home at 10:28 p.m., police said.

The assailants stole the victim’s cell phone and car keys before they forced him to open the front door of the home, police said.

The victim was lead upstairs, where the duo demanded that he open a safe and then hit him over the head with an unknown object when he was unable to do so, police said.

Both suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim refused medical attention at the scene. Fourth Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
