A 75-year-old man who was struck by a car while walking across a street in his hometown of Huntington died a day after the crash.

Suffolk County police said Vincent Butler died Thursday night after he was taken to m Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The victim was crossing West Main Street when he was hit by an eastbound Honda Accord near the corner of Scudder Place shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, police said.

The driver, 38-year-old Adrian Schrenck of Huntington, was not injured.

Second Squad detectives impounded the car, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8252.
