A little store called A & R Central Air Supply Corporation in Mineola has been serving the community for more than five years, providing the area with all their heating and air conditioning needs. Store owner and Mineola resident Paul Valente has headed up the heating and AC wholesale supply store, selling everything from parts, systems and duct work.
“We are mainly a residential company but we also do commercial business,” said Valente. “Our main focus is the local area but we also serve Nassau and Suffolk counties, the metro New York area and a little bit upstate.”
With the cold weather already starting to settle in, it is important that homeowners properly prepare themselves for what could be another sub-freezing winter season.
A & R Central has multiple items in stock to keep your home nice and warm for the winter. These items include heating parts such as furnace control boards, igniters and furnace inducer motors.
Popular brands such as Bradford White water heaters are also for sale as well as water heater parts.
Many types of fuel oil filters can also be had with prices ranging from $15 to $30 as well as a wide array of thermometers including the high end Pro1 thermometer at a price of $116.00.
A & R also sells many types of grills/registers, tools, UV lights/parts, condensate parts, humidifiers, boiler parts, cooling parts and Rheem equipment.
Valente, who originally grew up in Williston Park and moved to Mineola 10 years ago, said that he has been involved in the heating and AC business since he graduated high school.
“It is what I love to do,” said Valente. “I enjoy seeing our regular contractors come in and our repeat customers but we also have a lot of foot traffic too.”
Valente added homeowner discounts for the holiday season and is currently doing online advertising as well as placing in-store promotions at Waldbaum’s.
A & R was named after Valente’s two sons, 8-year-old Andrew and 6-year-old Ryan.
