The Sewanhaka Central Council of PTAs and the Sewanhaka Central High School District sponsored the See Saw Program “The Redesigned SAT Exam” on Jan. 8.
The presentation was led by Liz Ringel of the Princeton Review and Regina Agrusa, assistant to the superintendent for pupil personnel services, who informed district parents about the upcoming March 2016 changes to the SAT, including a change in scoring, the elimination of penalties for incorrect answers and limits on calculator usage.
According to Agrusa, the presentation was offered to provide students and parents insight on the future exam.
“With the College Board unveiling the redesigned SAT, we wanted to educate the parents about the changes so the children have an opportunity to start thinking about test preparation,” Agrusa said.
