Letter: Thanks For Scouting Assistance

My name is Eoin Heaney and I am a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 482. I would like to thank the Floral Park community, Boy Scout Troop 482, my friends and family for the support I received with my Eagle Scout Project.

I would like to express my gratitude to School Principal Dr. Sottile, Frank Hrbek, facility and staff at Floral Park Memorial High School for affording me the opportunity to dedicate my project to the high school.

I would also like to express a big thank you to many people who helped me with both my fundraising and the physical work needed to complete the project.

Thanks to everyone who supported me through brick purchases, donations of money, donations of supplies needed and those who offered words of encouragement.

I am also very grateful to many of the local businesses from Floral Park and the surrounding area who offered help through their donations of time and goods, including: Walter Dreyer and Dreyer’s Tree Service, Erin Isle Construction, Village Studios, The Gateway, Floral Park Dispatch, Belmont Racetrack, Floral Park Fire Department, Floral Park American Legion, Tulip Bake Shop, FPM Student Council, Cheap Sam’s Nursery, Ciros Pizzeria and The Home Depot.

Thanks also to Nassau County Legislator Vincent T. Muscarella.

Lastly, but by no means least, I want to express a huge debt of gratitude to my Scouting leaders and fellow Scouts in Troop 482. Without your hard work I would not have been able to transform the ground around the flagpole into the beautiful area that it now is. Your leadership, guidance and hard work made it possible for me to accomplish the ultimate scouting achievement.

Again thank you all for your tremendous support with my project. The flagpole outside of Floral Park Memorial High School is a beautiful and fitting tribute to the community of Floral Park.

Yours in Scouting, Eoin Heaney
