The Roslyn-based Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) was recently awarded $20,000 through Newsday charities. The grant, said Alane Fagin, CAPS executive director, will support the Keeping Kids and Families Safe program.
“The incidence of child abuse and maltreatment continues to be a serious problem here on Long Island,” Fagin said. “The $20,000 grant will enable CAPS to work with teenage parents and provide them with the skills and strategies to successfully parent their children and keep them safe from abuse. The timing of this grant couldn’t be more perfect as we look ahead to our future of continuing our work to keep our children safe.”
