"Yes We Can" Employee Arrested

A New Cassel woman was arrested on Thursday, June 4 at 4:55 p.m. for Grand Larceny after allegedly taking money from the “Yes We Can” Community Center.

According to detectives, while employed as a front desk clerk at the “Yes We Can” Community Center, located at 141 Garden St. New Cassel, defendant Barbara Jean, 37,  between April 7 and May 22, removed three deposit envelopes containing cash of the day from the community center safe.  The proceeds were an undetermined amount of US currency.
