The third graders from Birch Lane Elementary School recently went on a class trip to the Long Island Aquarium. It was the perfect day to watch the 
sea lion show, walk in the water with the crabs, enjoy the penguins and see all the educational things that the aquarium has to offer. It was 80 degrees and the sun was shining bright.
After the sea lion show had finished, some of the children posed for a photo with the almost 14-year-old, 385-pound sea lion named Java and his trainer Genna. Java is waving at the camera in the background of Miss. Signorile’s class photo.
