Last summer, a Beatles tribute band brought out a huge crowd to Gerry Park in Roslyn, allowing families to enjoy a pleasant summer evening listening to classic songs from the 1960s.
This Wednesday, July 22, at 6 p.m., the annual concert will feature the music of Long Island’s own, Billy Joel. On that date, the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce will host Roslyn Rocks The Park V, featuring Captain Jack, a Billy Joel Tribute Band.
The event is free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to bring a beach chair, a picnic basket and plenty of friends and family members.
Residents should also get their singing voices in shape as the crowd is certain to sing along to all the Billy Joel songs made famous throughout the years.
