At its September meeting, the Roslyn Board of Education recognized Griffin Berkenfeld, a Roslyn High School senior, for his work as a budding filmmaker.
His film Time Stops was an official selection for the 2015 All American High School Film Festival.
The synopsis of the film is that people age normally until they turn 18. When they turn that age, they stop aging until they meet their soul mate, so that they can grow old together.
Chosen from thousands of submissions from over 48 states and 30 countries, his film will be screened the weekend of October 9-11 at the AMC Empire Theaters in New York City’s Times Square.
