The Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most important traditional Chinese national holidays of the Chinese Lunar Year, was celebrated by the Long Island Chinese American Association (LICAA) at their Mid-Autumn Festival on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Old Westbury Gardens. During the celebration, there was traditional sharing of moon cakes, fruits and tea, as well as a large family dinner. Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth addressed the crowd and thanked the LICAA and President Dr. Guodong Zhang for the organization’s contributions to the community.
