Valley Stream Woman Killed in Crash

A 20-year-old Valley Stream woman was killed when she crashed her vehicle on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Uniondale early Tuesday morning.

New York State police said Evelissa Ducatel was driving her Nissan southbound at a high rate of speed, when she lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the right shoulder striking a tree just north of the Southern State Parkway at 1:30 a.m.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 20-year-old passenger, also of Valley Stream, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers are continuing the investigation.
