Town of North Hempstead has really pulled a gem this time: a handicap parking location in the town’s parking lot on Vanderventer with a 10-minute time limit. I have had a handicap sticker for many years and have been using it throughout the state, country and the world, but never saw one with a time limit.
If it has a 10-minute time limit, it shouldn’t be handicapped. It takes some handicapped people more than 10 minutes to get out of their car, and on top of it, if you exceed the time limit you get an $85 fine. Supervisor Judi Bosworth, please correct this injustice.
