Movie: The Intern
The Bar Harbour auditorium will show a 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. screening of the movie The Intern. Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway) is a young woman running a thriving online fashion website. Convinced by her employees to enact a senior outreach program, she hires 70-year-old retiree Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro) as an intern. Ben initially has much to learn, and finds that the modern business world isn’t anything like he remembers. However, as Ben acclimates himself, it becomes clear that he has plenty to teach the people around him. (2015; PG-13 2 hr). Starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.

Paint Night At The Museum
Seaford residents have an extraordinary opportunity to paint with master artist Cliff Miller. Patrons receive expert oil painting instruction at the Seaford Historical Museum at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 each. Price includes all supplies; just wear your painting clothes. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited.

Adopt-A-Battalion Soldier’s Drive
Come help put care packages together for troops overseas. Volunteers sort, pack and ship items to send to the troops. A.A.R.P Mature Driving
The Seaford Public Library will hold a mature driving session to reduce insurance rates or enjoy your driving privilege longer. This is a slow-paced, user-friendly class for first-time computer users. We will cover turning the computer on, the desktop, using the mouse, opening and closing programs, understanding windows elements, getting out of trouble, and turning the computer off. Board of Education meeting
The Massapequa School District board of education meeting will focus on all curriculum and instruction programs, as well as instructional support areas such as social work and psychology. It will take place in Massapequa High School’s Baldwin Auditorium, beginning at 8 p.m.
Seaford High School Drama Production for Senior Citizens
Seaford High School students will host a drama production for senior citizens in the high school auditorium at 4 p.m.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation Fundraiser
Come to Johnny McGorey’s on Sunday, March 6 where volunteers will shave their heads to help Conquer Kids’ Cancer. The event begins at 1 p.m. with head shavings starting at 2 p.m. This year’s event will honor Massapequa residents, 6-year-old Maya Annunziato who has been battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and 10-year-old Colin Conaty, who was diagnosed with an ependyoma, but has been in remission for the past seven years.
