Under the instruction of art teacher Jaclyn Manouvrier, each of the students at Hampton Street School assisted in the completion of a mural that was painted in the school’s new wing. With the assistance of visiting artist John Dinaro, the mural depicts a pollution-free environment where all living organisms are able to flourish harmoniously. The theme ties in to the students’ lessons on the importance of environmentalism. —Submitted by the Mineola School District
