Oceanside Man Dies in Parkway Crash

A 22-year-old Oceanside man died when he crashed his vehicle on the Southern State Parkwayover the weekend.

New York State police said Vito Errico was driving his Acura eastbound when he was involved in a collision with an SUV, which caused the Acura to veer off the road and hit several trees and a utility pole near exit 17 at 3:41 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation asks anyone who may have witnessed this crash to call them in Farmingdale at 631-756-3300. All calls will remain confidential.
