Agnes Papasidero (age 82) passed away peacefully in her home in Naples, FL, on the morning of April 8, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Agnes was a resident of Port Washington for 30 years prior to moving to Naples, FL.
Agnes grew up in the city of Swansea, Wales, UK, and overcame trying circumstances in the face of war and its aftermath. In a effort to find a better life, Agnes bravely left home by herself at the age of 15, relocating first to England, then finally to the United States.
Agnes dedicated her life to those she served as a nanny, a caregiver for the mentally ill, a school teacher, and a spiritual reader and counselor, but most importantly, she dedicated her life to her family.
Agnes is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joe, her brother Morrie, her children Joe, Vera and Mike, and her grandchildren Michael, Chris, Sarah, Mikey and Emma.
A private service will be held for the family.
Agnes wanted to be remembered for her story and for the lessons she taught.
Those who wish to honor her life can do so simply by keeping fond memories of her.
