A highly magnified image of samples to be used in their research presentations has the attention of these Nassau BOCES Doshi STEM Institute students from the Hicksville High School. The aspiring scientists are Manpreet Kaur (sitting), Sonali Malhotra (left) and Nabil Chowdhury. They used the VHX 5000 Digital Microscope to get extremely detailed images of the samples for their projects about the amount of heavy metals in plants. The microscope offers up to 5,000x magnification.
