Sewanhaka High School students in Robert Anderson’s seventh-grade and Karen Walsh’s 11th-grade English classes recently completed a paired reading of the RJ Palacio novel Wonder, discussing issues of bullying, tolerance and problem-solving.
Seventh-graders were paired with 11th-graders and discussed their own experiences as they related to issues raised in the novel. The students met multiple times over the course of two months, which resulted in building meaningful friendships.
