Students and staff at Dutch Lane Elementary School in the Hicksville School District received a visit from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carl Bonuso (pictured with students), Nassau County Legislator Rose Walker and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano’s wife, Linda Mangano, in celebration of National Library Week. Bonuso spoke about the importance of reading, visiting libraries and spreading love following his reading of The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein to students, who also received paper hearts. The special reading and visit served as a fun and engaging way for students to celebrate the essence of National Library Week.
