JCCAIn what made for a strong turnout, Career>Connect Long Island’s
Inaugural Career Fair drew nearly 100 job seekers on June 22 at Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center.
The event served as a hub for job seekers, who engaged representatives from more than 20 businesses and organizations. Representatives were on hand to field questions about their respective businesses, and attendees were able to share their resumes and experience, ask about exciting job opportunities and engage in informative dialogues. The program promotes services from career counseling and career exploration to networking opportunities with potential employers, and has helped a number of clients land jobs in their desired fields.
“Our first ever career fair was quite the success, and we were thrilled to be able to offer an event like this to support those who are seeking to fulfill their professional endeavors,” said Michelle Laser. “Networking is a critical component when seeking a new job or trying to change careers, and many participants walked away satisfied with their experience here. Regardless of the goal, we’re here to assist people on their employment journey, every step of the way.”
