Starting The Day With A Thank You Breakfast
The Town of North Hempstead hosted a Thank You Breakfast for interns working in the town this summer. The breakfast took place on July 20 at Town Hall in Manhasset. The town currently has 30 interns working in various departments.
Golf Advisory Committee For Harbor Links
North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the town board announced that the town, along with Arnold Palmer Golf Management, is implementing a golf advisory committee for the Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington.
The role of the advisory committee will be to represent the town residents and golfers in identifying key issues facing the golf course and to suggest ways to improve the golfing experience at Harbor Links Golf Course. The committee will work with course management to help prioritize solutions and work with town officials in order to streamline approval and implementation.
Paddle Board & Kayaks
Kostal Paddle is offering stand-up paddle board and kayak rentals as well as lessons at Manorhaven Beach Park in Port Washington this summer.
“If you have ever thought you would like to try your hand at kayaking or paddle boarding, this is the perfect opportunity to pick up a paddle and do it,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “Nothing compares with spending time on the water and getting away from it all. Kostal Paddle is conveniently located right at Manorhaven Beach Park, just a few steps from the water’s edge.”
Kostal Paddle’s rental office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. In addition to rentals and lessons, Kostal Paddle will be offering special sessions at their Manorhaven Beach Park location featuring stand-up paddle board yoga and full moon paddle boarding.
