Central Islip Man Fatally Shot

A 27-year-old man was shot dead in his hometown of Central Islip in the early morning hours of Labor Day, Suffolk County police said.

Marcus Bohannon was walking south on Lowell Avenue Islip when he was shot at the corner of Ash Street at 12:45 a.m. Monday, police said.

Bohannon was found lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene after neighbors called police when they heard shots fired.
