Giving Value To Their Art

Fairfield Elementary School art teacher Dorothy Veltre helped sixth-grader Sofia Panagoulias with her recent drawing of an owl. In learning about value, students picked a photo of an animal and glued half of it to a piece of paper. Using pencils, they practiced shading techniques to create the other half of the picture.
