Meet the candidates running for positions on the Great Neck Library Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Station Branch, The Gardens at Great Neck Plaza, 26 Great Neck Rd., second level, above Best Market.
Since the election is contested, the session will be moderated by the League of Women Voters. The community is invited to take part in the future of the library by attending this important event and asking questions of the candidates. Cards for submitting questions will be distributed before the session and questions must be presented in
writing and should address the issues.
Board of Trustees Candidates: For the expiring seat of Josie Pizer, Nominating Committee Candidate: Rebecca Miller. For the expiring seat of Varda Solomon, Nominating Committee Candidate: Varda Solomon; Independent Candidate: Douglas (Gee-Kang) Hwee. The election will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Station and Parkville Branches.
