Huntington Man Dies After Crashing Into House

A 76-year-old Huntington man who died this weekend after driving his truck into a house is believed to have suffered a medical emergency before the crash occurred, Suffolk County police said.

James A. Burke was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck eastbound on East 3rd Street in Huntington Station when his vehicle veered off the road, went through a fence and struck a house at 11:50 a.m. on  Saturday, police said.

The victim was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Second Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigation, and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8252.
