A 20-year-old Mastic man was found dead in a swimming pool in the backyard of a Nesconset home on Friday afternoon.

Suffolk County police said Dominique Bethune was found unresponsive in the pool at a home on Chivalry Lane at 3:07 p.m.

The body was recovered by Marine Bureau officers and taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s officer, where an autopsy will be performed to determine his cause of death.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the case to call them at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
