2017 Long Island Memorial Day Parades

Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer 2017 with a ton of exciting events on Long Island. The holiday weekend isn’t complete without the parades. Here are some of the best Memorial Day parades to check out this weekend.

Hempstead
The parade will assemble at the American Legion Hall, the proceed down Greenwich Street. 2:30 p.m. May 28.

East Hampton
The parade will begin on Main Street. 9 a.m. May 29.

Plainview-Old Bethpage
The parade will head down Old Country Road to the Plainview-Old Bethpage Town Park on Washington Ave., where a short ceremony will take place. 9 a.m. May 29.

Amityville
The ceremony takes place at the gazebo on the Triangle. After the ceremony the participants will march north on Broadway to the Amityville Cemetery where a brief ceremony will be held. 10 a.m. May 29.

Bay Shore
The parade will begin at the interaction of Lanier Lane and Main Street. 10 a.m. May 29.

Commack
The Parade route starts at Larkfield Road and Jericho Turnpike. 10 a.m. May 29.

East Meadow
The parade begins at East Meadow High School. 10 a.m. May 29.

Farmingdale
The parade begins at the intersection of Main Street and Village Green. 10 a.m. May 29.

Garden City
Marchers will step off at Cherry Valley Avenue and 10th Street. 10 a.m. May 29.

Long Beach
The parade will begin at the intersection of Ohio Avenue and West Beech Street. 10 a.m. May 29.

Malverne
The parade will begin on Church Street. Marchers will parade through the Westwood Section. The Memorial Day Ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at the Gazebo in Reese Memorial Park. 10 a.m. May 29.

Massapequa Park
The parade will begin on Front Street and travel north on Park Boulevard, west on Clark Boulevard and end at Klestinec Park followed by refreshments served by the American Legion on Veterans Boulevard. 10 a.m. May 29.

Northport
The parade and services will take place at the village park. 10 a.m. May 29.

Port Washington
The parade will begin on Port Washington Blvd. and continue down Main Street to the John Philip Sousa Memorial Bandshell in Sunset Park. 10 a.m. May 29

Seaford
The parade will begin at Verity Plaza. 10 a.m. May 29.

Southampton
The parade will begin on Main Street in Southampton Village. 10 a.m. May 29.

Valley Stream
The parade will start on Rockaway Parkway, north of Wheeler Avenue, and end at the library parking lot. 10 a.m. May 29.

Patchogue
The parade will begin on the corner of Main Street and Route 112. 11 a.m. May 29.
