As they have time and time again, Levittown’s residents and community leaders pulled together for a fun-filled demonstration of community spirit, this time in the form of Levittown’s annual WinterFest celebration, held Saturday, Feb. 3. The event, held at Levittown Hall and initiated once again by the Levittown Community Council, was Broadway-themed, offering a unique twist on the day’s festivities.

Volunteers from the Levittown Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center were happy to represent their community.
In a shocking turn of events, Pikachu arrived to greet the guests.

Highlights included the “Doodle Bop Wiggle & Dance” puppet show, family fun provided by Rhythm Force Entertainment and a visit from Pikachu. Attendees enjoyed refreshments throughout the day and partook in raffles, crafts, face painting and temporary tattoos (provided by Levittown Kiwanis), and balloon artistry, while also getting the opportunity to admire Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers Train Club’s model train display. Community mainstays such as the Levittown Public Library, the Island Trees Public Library, the Levittown Chamber of Commerce, St. Bernard’s Church, VFW Post 592 and the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps were well represented. The Levittown Community Council was appreciative of the volunteers who helped set up the event.
