pjimage (16)

Calling all potential adopters and fosters! There are always a ton of cats and dogs up for adoption, but with a local Long Island rescue about to shut its doors, there’s an extra abundance of homeless animals in need of a home. Read all about how to help right here!

Can You Help Pets4Luv Animal Rescue?

Pets4Luv is heartbroken and scared, they received a court decision last week that gives the new owner of the Source Mall the right to evict them. Pets4Luv now has as little as three weeks to get all the remaining animals (approximately 45 cats and 1 dog) adopted and/or in foster care. Pets4Luv desperately needs the public’s help. If you can adopt or foster, please contact Dave or Lori at info@pets4luv.org or call the rescue at 516-832-8200.  Please also continue to share their story and help raise the money they need to relocate and rebuild so Pets4Luv can continue to save lives and bring families together. Thank you for your support!

Josie
Josie

Available for adoption from Second Chance Rescue:

Miss. Josie has been waiting for a foster or an adopter for just about a year now, and volunteers and staff aren’t quite sure why. Josie is such a good dog but is starting to get very sad not having a home for so long, and we would be over the moon if someone would just give her a chance, even by fostering her. Josie is about 2-3 years old and came to Second Chance Rescue from a high-kill shelter when her time was up. She does well with most other dogs but likes to be the female in charge, so living with a submissive male would be best. This girl is so deserving of her very own home.

Apollo 2
Apollo

Sweet Apollo comes from a rough start and is longing for a safe and loving home of his own. Any home would be lucky to have this guy-he is quite the charmer! Apollo is wiggly and gentle, with a constantly wagging tail and a smile that draws in everyone who passes him by.

An absolute gentle giant, Apollo was dumped at the ACC because his owner moved to housing that wouldn’t allow him (absolutely no fault of his own!). Apollo is housebroken, is super affectionate, and is generally a happy, laid back doll. When he sees other dogs passing him on a leash, he seems interested but stays completely calm. Already neutered, he’d be the perfect companion for someone looking for a senior-aged chiller who’s past his puppy days but still has plenty of love to give.

If you can adopt or foster Josie or Apollo, check out  nycsecondchancerescue.org and fill out an application today!

Catch
Catch

Available for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:

Catch came into the shelter as an owner surrender with another dog. Sadly, his owners chose to reclaim his brother, but not Catch. Catch’s previous owner said he is house trained and very smart. He knows sit, stay, down, come and both paws!

Catch loves his toys and lived with a large and small dog. Catch also is a super star in his doggy play groups. Catch will do best with an experienced owner who can get him comfortable meeting new people. If you are interested in learning more about Catch, please call the shelter at 516-785-5220, visit them at 3320 Beltagh Ave,, Wantagh or email adoption@tohmail.org

Neida

Available for adoption at Bideawee:

It isn’t every day that you meet a lady as unique and gorgeous as Neida. This almost 8-year-old gal has been at Bideawee’s Westhampton location since April 2015. She is a stunningly beautiful girl who boasts one sky blue eye and one that’s cocoa brown.

Neida is full of personality and affection. Her dream family would be the one that can give her all the time and patience that she deserves, so she can settle in and bond with her adopters comfortably. A home where she can be the only four-legged family member is idyllic.

She longs for a family that she can trust, and who will make her feel safe. In return, Neida promises a lifetime of love, friendship and faithfulness. Thanks to a generous Bideawee volunteer & donor, Neida’s adoption fee has been covered. All she needs now is a home to call her own and a soft place to rest her head.

Bebe

This spirited 1-year-old guy is named Bebe. He is a loving and engaging pup that everyone at Bideawee adores. Gentle and tenderhearted, he offers a paw of friendship to all he meets and sometimes a few kisses too. Weighing in at just 14 pounds, he’s also the ideal size for anyone seeking a more petite family member. He would thrive in any home that shares in his active lifestyle.

Trinity

Donning a fantastic ebony coat with white highlights and accents, it’s hard not to fall in love with Trinity in just one glance. She would flourish in a home that shares in her puppy zest and active lifestyle. Trinity’s ideal family would be able to spend all day by her side, slowly introducing her to the world and helping her to make new friends.
