Buddy Guy and Sunny Boy
Buddy Guy and Sunny Boy

Buddy Guy (adoption #T102417) and Sonny Boy (adoption #T102418) were singing the blues when they lost the only home they’d ever known in Tennessee. NSALA’s rescue team transported these 6-year-old brothers north for a fresh start in Port Washington and these fellas are now ready for their true forever home.  After receiving great medical care (Buddy Guy has a heart murmur that is covered by NSALA’s care), this duet is ready to make beautiful music in their next and permanent home. A low-key, quiet household is what these bonded brothers crave. If you’d like to experience the deepest appreciation of a pair of older gentlemen, let Buddy Guy and Sunny Boy be your new babies!

Xander
Xander

Xander (adoption #E3607) is a gorgeous two-year old boy who was rescued from the path of Hurricane Dorian. It’s been a hectic journey but Xander is content to be comfy and cared for in the safety of NSALA’s Adoption Center. Staff and volunteers are excited to locate this stunning sweetheart the family ad home he deserves, probably for the first time in his young life. Ideally, Xander’s new home would be one with children 6+ in age. Falling in love with this gentle soul is simple. Is he meant to be yours?

Glenn Close
Glenn Close

Glenn Close (adoption #E3639) is a 1-year old stunner, patiently waiting for the next chapter in her life to begin. After surviving evacuation from Hurricane Dorian, finding a home should be a cinch for her. Glenn Close is seeking a calm, reassuring household to help her feel like a treasured part of the family. She’ll be eating treats from your hand in no time!

Lorenzo 1
Lorenzo

Rescued locally, the moment Lorenzo (adoption #R163320) arrived at NSALA, he was greeted with a promise of a bright future filled with all the love he deserves. This is an easy promise to keep because this 4-year-old guy is oozing charm and warmth. He may seem shy at first, but his playful spirit and curiosity overcome any fears he may have with just the slightest encouragement. Just say the word and you’ll go home with the piece of your heart that was missing, and this wonderful boy will begin his fresh start with your loving family.

Hamlet 2
Hamlet

Poor Hamlet was found chained up to a fence in the Bronx four years ago. His parents immediately fell in love with him and took him home where he was showered with love, attention and even trips to the dog park, but sadly he is now too big for their young child. With broken hearts, they had to move him into a kennel, but he needs a home. He is an absolute love, loves to play, loves his people. He is fully vetted, neutered, dog particular, cats unknown, and no young children as he does not know he his own strength. If your home is right for Hamlet, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or call (631) 306-4616.

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
