Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter:

Betty Boop
Betty Boop

Named after the iconic cartoon diva (who was originally designed as a dog), Betty Boop can’t get enough of people, and the people she meets can’t get enough of her! She was brought in by a Good Samaritan who found her crying at a local train station. It was soon how attached she gets to everyone when she cried watching the Good Samaritan leave. She’s the perfect combination of calm, affectionate, and sweet all rolled into a 70-pound ball of love. Her eyes say it all, she oozes love and adoration for every new person she meets. While she’s great with children, she would prefer to be the only pet in her home.

Momoa
Momoa

Momoa, named after Aquaman of course, is a 2-year-old bulky, hunky lover boy. He originally came to the shelter as a stray in April of last year. He was quickly adopted due to his beautiful coat and sweet temperament. Unfortunately, he was brought back when he couldn’t get along with the owner’s dog. He would be best as the only pet in the household, since he loves all the attention! Momoa is a great fit for a family that has older children. Momoa has a playful and willful spirit and can entertain you for hours playing with any cat toy.

For more information about adopting Betty Boop and Momoa, head over to the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter at 410 East Main Street, Smithtown or call 631-360-7575.

Rose 1

Rose (adoption #H209678) is not just another pretty face. Although her eyeliner is always on point, and her catwalk is that of a super meowdel, beneath the surface lies a complex creature. When this 2-year-old dazzler first arrived at NSALA’s adoption center, she had lost the only home she’d ever known. It took lots of time and patience to bring out Rose’s true playful self. Rose is looking for a cat-experienced home with older children and no other pets (plus a handful of treats) to welcome her into the family.  These are the essential steps towards her success that will bring out the playful, intelligent girl staff and volunteers have come to adore.

Tormund and Cersei

Tormund (adoption #E01585) and Cersei (adoption #E01586) are looking for a new kingdom to inhabit, one that will lead to a lifetime of safety where they can snuggle together forever. These 1-year-old siblings (Tormund is male, Cersei is female) were rescued from a dangerous situation and are currently in the first safe place they’ve ever known. You’ll find Tormund eager to join in the playgroup fun with his feline friends while Cersei seems content to snuggle into the nearest human’s lap. At the end of the day, these bonded siblings find each other and share a good grooming session before settling in for a peaceful rest. All this loving pair needs now is a welcoming family and a quiet castle to rule.

Aladdin and Sinbad

Aladdin (adoption #BF2652) and Sinbad (adoption #BF2655) are looking for a whole new world. After spending lots of time learning about humans and trust, these bonded 8-month-old guys are ready to share all they have learned with a lucky family. They can’t imagine life without each other, and they’ll never have to: they are a double adoption.  The plan is for these brothers to take a magic carpet ride straight to your heart.  A cat-experienced family with older children (10 and up) will help them transition smoothly into their very first home. You’ve never had friends like Aladdin and Sinbad!

Tartare

Tartare (adoption #H2101997) doesn’t want to go far to find a home. He’s settling into Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center with the help of some feline and human friends, but this terrific 7-month-old kitten is expected to settle into a loving home very quickly. Staff and volunteers have seen him lean on his braver roommates for support and we know that with a little help from a confident cat in your home, children 10+ years in age who can soothe his worries away, and adults with compassionate hearts, Tartare will thrive as the part of a family for the first time.

Crocus

Crocus (adoption #V39758) is a stunning 2-year-old gal who came to North Shore Animal League America by way of an overcrowded shelter in Virginia. This beauty headed up north to find a home in which she can blossom.  Crocus would be most content in a quiet home as the only pet.
