He obtained a master’s degree in healthcare administration specializing in Gerontology from C.W Post Long Island University. He has 10-plus years of experience working in long term care and was honored by American College of Health Care Administrators with the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award.

Stapleton has joined Rivkin Radler LLP as an associate in the insurance fraud practice group, where she helps insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including affirmative actions to recover insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters, and others involved in complex, large-scale insurance fraud schemes. Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Stapleton served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where she tried multiple jury and bench trials and handled numerous pretrial hearings.

The board of trustees of Webb Institute named Martecchini the 16th president of the college, effective July 1, 2022. He will succeed R. Keith Michel who has served as Webb’s president for the past nine years. Martecchini is recognized for his innovative leadership and advocacy for inclusiveness and sustainability. During a 38-year career with Stolt-Nielsen, he served in a variety of technical, commercial and executive roles, most recently as Managing Director of Stolt Tankers, operating the world’s largest global fleet of parcel tankers.

Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Valley Stream Hospital has appointed Dr. Hsiang-chi (Angel) Meng, DO, as its  medical director after a competitive search process. She previously worked at Lenox Hill Hospital, where she served as associate medical director, physician advisor and hospitalist. While at Lenox Hill, Dr. Meng’s responsibilities included overseeing improvement initiatives that focused on transitions of care, readmission reduction, patient experience and patient safety. She also played a pivotal role in the hospital’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Committee is tasked with investigating the background, experience, and other qualifications of candidates seeking to run for judicial office in Suffolk County to ensure that potential nominees are qualified to serve on the bench. The Committee consists of 25 active members of the SCBA of recognized standing, judgment and independence, and serve for a term of three years or until their successor is appointed.

Dayton T. Brown, Jr. announced the promotion of Kelly to president of the company. His new role encompasses the direction of the entire corporation and responsibility for all three divisions: Technical Services, Engineering and Test, and Mission Systems, as well as all general and administrative services and support functions. He joined DTB in 2008 as a Business Development Manager for the Technical Services Division. He was named Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Technical Services Division in 2010, and Senior Vice President, Corporate Sales and Marketing in 2014. In 2015 he was named Senior Vice President/General Manager, Technical Services Division. His most recent appointment in December of 2020 was Executive Vice President, managing all three divisions.
