powerwomenli

The annual Power Women of Long Island celebration honoring the fearless females who make the region such a thriving and vibrant place to work, live, and do business returns on Nov. 14th at the Crest Hollow Country Club. This year’s special emcee is Jennifer Bisram of CBS New York.

Honorees include high-profile women who lead businesses, nonprofits and academic organizations across Nassau and Suffolk counties, with nominees still being accepted for the ever-growing list of exceptional local leaders.

“For close to 30 years Schneps Media has had the honor to recognize extraordinary women, to bring them together to create community and to do business. It is a thrill to see the power in the room, hear the stories of accomplishment and to witness the connections that are made at the event,” said Elizabeth Schneps Aloni, senior vice present of events, Schneps Media.

Schneps Media, the publishers of the Long Island Press, Dan’s Papers and Noticia, is the host of the event. One-hundred percent of the evening’s raffle proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit organization Life’s WORC,  a leader in providing residential and day services, vocational training, employment services, clinical and behavioral care, financial support services, and family and recreational programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.

The event will kick off with a VIP Power Hour during which the honorees have an opportunity to meet to connect before the rest of the guests arrive. Pictures will be taken to be featured in the Long Island Press and relationships will be started.

Guests, honorees and sponsors will enjoy the Ultimate Networking cocktail hour followed by a high-energy, joyful ceremony in which each honoree is presented their award as a Power Woman of Long Island. Jennifer Bisram, CBS New York news reporter and anchor will serve as the emcee of the awards celebration.

Nominations are open for women across all industries on Long Island. If you know a woman deserving of the honor, you can nominate her at PowerWomenLI.com
