Ian Connett 

Harris Beach PLLC welcomes Connett, who joins the law firm’s corporate practice group. He has worked across several cutting-edge verticals during his legal career, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and biotechnology. As a former general counsel to high profile pre-IPO companies in the fast-paced technology sector, Ian brings a wealth of experience and positive industry reputation to the firm. He was previously the founder of Connett PC.

Jin Guo 

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), one of the nation’s leading oncology practices, added Guo to its Port Jefferson practice. She is a hematologist-oncologist who has a special interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, lung cancer and prostate cancer. After supporting her grandmother through her cancer journey, Dr. Guo pursued the field to deliver the highest quality cancer care to her patients while supporting their families and caregivers.

Mitch Pally 

Pally has been named the new chair of the board of Discover Long Island, the region’s tourism promotion agency. He is the former chief executive officer of the Long Island Builders Institute and current chair of the Midway Crossing Local Development Corporation, as well as chair of the Long Island MacArthur Airport Advisory Board, co-chair of the Long Island Business Development Council, chair of the Long Island Chapter of the League of Conservation Voters and a member of the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Corp.

Laura Brancato 

The nonprofit EAC Network named Brancato to its board of directors. She is a New York-based partner with the law firm of Meltzer Lippe in its mental health, guardianship and elder law litigation practice group, where she devotes her practice to complex guardianship and elder law

litigation as well as Surrogate’s Court litigation including contested wills, turnover proceedings, judicial accountings and related litigation.

Paule Pachter 

Pacter, the president and CEO of Long Island Cares Inc.  – The Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank, was appointed to the THIRTEEN/ WLIW community advisory board. He also serves on the boards of the Feeding New York State, the Long Island Association, and the HIA-LI.

Gillian Hanna

The nonprofit EAC Network named Hanna to its development team as the new public relations and marketing manager. She oversees the day-to-day press interaction and marketing efforts, collaborates with EAC’s professional team to curate content and enhance storytelling, is working to create a long-term branding and engagement strategy as well as begin executing plans to maintain and optimize the organization’s website, media relationships, social media content and engagement, email marketing, and more.

John Wagner 

John Wagner of Merrick has been promoted to Principal at Tiegerman High School in Richmond Hill. He has been at Tiegerman for 8 years where he was previously Coordinator at Tiegerman High School in Richmond Hill.

Lauren Leonardi 

Lauren Leonardi of East Northport has been promoted to Program Director at Tiegerman in Glen Cove. She has been at Tiegerman for 19 years where she was previously Principal of Tiegerman High School.
