Over a thousand demonstrators gathered at the Mid-Island Y JCC in Plainview on Sunday, April 7, to mark the six-month anniversary of the October 7, 2023, assault on Israel by Hamas terrorists.

Politicians including Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) and Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) were in attendance.

“My heart breaks for all of the families that are still enduring this absolutely unthinkable ordeal, and we continue to pray fervently for the release and safety of every last hostage being held by Hamas terrorists,” Drucker said.

The march and rally aimed to honor the memory of the victims and demand the unconditional release of all hostages from Gaza, including Plainview’s Omer Neutra.

“As my heart continues to ache for Israel, I draw inspiration from the passion and resilience demonstrated by Long Island’s Jewish community, our allies, and the Israeli people,” Koslow said.
