Steve Castro, formerly the Director of Digital Development at EGC Group, a marketing business based  in Melville,  has been promoted to VP of Development. Castro, who resides in Medford, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, enhancing EGC Group’s digital development initiatives.

Bernadette Kasnicki, a partner at Rivkin Radler LLP, has been elected as general counsel and member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for United Way of Long Island. She will serve a three-year term, focusing on tax and corporate law, and advising on organizational policies and business affairs.

Long Island Cares, Inc. has hired Shawn Mathew as its Director of Information Technology. Mathew was hired by the food bank after one year at Long Island Cares doing consulting work while he was the Development Manager at NAKA Technologies in Central Islip. Throughout his career, Mathew has played a pivotal role in spearheading innovative technological advancements.

Caitlin Cash has become a member of the Insurance Fraud Group of Rivkin Radler LLP. Her work centers on investigating and litigating civil cases in both state and federal courts. Before her role at Rivkin Radler, Cash served as an associate at a midsize law firm, concentrating on insurance defense concerning general liability and labor law issues. She holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

He holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from SUNY Buffalo and previously worked as a Project Engineer at P.W. Grosser Consulting in Bohemia.
