The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District recently awarded two grants to newcomer Fora Cafe at 3 Manorhaven Blvd. in Port Washington.
Owners Leyla and Engin Koksal have created a welcoming, peaceful café with an all-day menu of healthy eats.
Fora Cafe welcomes walk-ins for a cup of coffee, larger groups and even special occasion bookings. Leyla and Engin both have extensive experience in the food and hospitality industry, which is reflected in the thoughtfully procured ingredients for their menu items. Even the coffee mugs were purposely chosen to enrich the dining experience.
“Fora is a reflection of our passion for bringing intentional, health-focused dining to the heart of Port Washington. As new business owners, my husband and I wanted to create a space that feels like an extension of our home—where high-quality, clean ingredients and a warm, welcoming ambiance come together. This grant helps us enhance our offerings and further contribute to the vibrant, wellness-focused culture we’re building in the community,” Leyla Koksal said.
“We are so pleased that Fora has opened at the crossroad of Manorhaven Blvd and Shore Road. I personally recommend the cilbir (Turkish eggs) and chicken orzo soup!” Holly Byrne, executive director of the Port Washington Business Improvement District, said.
