NY Floral Supply is set to expand its business and services with a move from Plainview to a 6,000-square-foot building in Farmingdale, according to the company’s owner, Sunny Suchdeve.
NY Floral Supply is a full-service wholesaler, specializing in fresh flowers and goods. Suchdeve said the company is in business with designers, event decorators and more throughout Long Island, as well as Brooklyn and Queens.
“We are moving to our new facility in Farmingdale to create an experience where people can come in, shop and pick things out,” Suchdeve said.
Suchdeve said the company typically sells by the box, and will be able to address customers on a more individual basis at the new location at 107 Milbar Blvd.
Suchdeve said that the business began as an e-commerce company in 2017, but a shift in demand over the past few years has facilitated the need for a brick-and-mortar location.
The current shop is located at 84 Newtown Plaza in Plainview and will fully close after the move in the fall.
The building that NY Floral Supply is set to take over was previously occupied by a furniture company.
“We’re going to be able to offer more options, more availability, more stock, fresh flowers and more,” Suchdeve said.
He also said the new location will sell things like basil stands, candles, tools and accessories.
The company’s website says, “With a focus on customer satisfaction and fast, efficient delivery, we aim to be your go-to source for all floral and craft supplies, helping you succeed with every project.”
NY Floral Supply opens at 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday and closes at 6 p.m. each day except Saturday, when it closes at noon. The business is not open on Sundays.
