UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES & PROGRAMS

featuredimage-spaceholder1 Hofstra offers six undergraduate degrees—Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Education—across 145 program options.

Students learn from a dedicated faculty of more than 1,150 instructors, 48 full-time—92 percent of whom hold the highest degree in their respective fields. With an average undergraduate class size of 21 students and a student-faculty ratio of 14 to 1, Hofstra ensures the attention and commitment to academic excellence future graduates require to succeed, not just in the classroom and professional careers, but throughout life.

Hofstra is selective in its admissions process, accepting just 62 percent of all applicants, and offers an array of merit-based scholarships and grant opportunities to both first-year students and transfer students.

Transfer Students

Hofstra University prides itself as a “Transfer-Friendly” university staffed with a dedicated team of specialists committed to facilitating a smooth and seamless transition. Its Transfer Center provides the resources, special attention and individualized support services transfer students not only require, but deserve.

Hofstra offers qualified transfer applicants scholarships of up to $15,000 per year, with additional opportunities for an extra $2,500 per year!

Hofstra University considers the applications of transfer candidates, with comprehensive articulation agreements with community colleges, and other college credit transfer opportunities. Even though there is no deadline for applications, students are encouraged to apply on or before March 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester to receive the fullest consideration.
