The Saint Dominic sixth-grade C.Y.O. baseball team which, on June 30, beat St. Killians of Farmingdale 4-1 to capture its second consecutive CYO championship.
The Bayhawks record over the last two years is a remarkable 24 wins and only one loss! Coached by Frank Mammano and assisted by Mike Maloney, the team represented St. Dominic parish and the Oyster Bay-East Norwich community in an exemplary manner.
Doing his best Johan Santana imitation and getting the victory in the championship game was Steven Spiegel with Conor “Mariano Rivera” Mcauliffe nailing down the win to pick up the save.
