Eleanor T. Marshall died Dec. 26, 2009. She was 94. Mrs. Marshall was born in Brattleboro, VT. She was a daughter of Ernest H. and Eva L. (Ellis) Tudor.
She graduated from Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, MA, and from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. After her graduation from college, she was employed by the New England Power Service Company in Boston, MA, until her marriage to Ernest D. Marshall of Garden City, New York, in 1974.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of the Garden City Community Church; the American Legion Auxiliary, William Bradford Turner Unit, No. 265; the Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead, Inc., the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter X; the University Club of Long Island; the Samoset Chapter No. 109, Order of the Eastern Star in Norwood, MA; and the Shelburne Historical Society, Inc. in Shelburne Falls, MA.
Her husband predeceased her in 1988. She is survived by two nephews, Lawrence E. Bergmann of Atlanta, GA, and Robert E. Bergmann of Somers, CT; two grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Garden City Community Church, Stewart Ave. and Whitehall Blvd., Garden City, would be appreciated.
A memorial service was held at the Garden City Community Church on Jan. 2, 2010.
