The physical education classes at the New Hyde Park Road School just completed two days of participating in the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart Event. Every child in the school participated in the program. Our goal was to raise awareness of heart healthy activities and at the same time raise money for heart and stroke research and educational programs.
We are proud to announce that we raised $3,215.00, exceeding our expectations of $1,000. A special thanks to Ms. Innella for her efforts in arranging this event. Although Ms. Innella will not be with us next year, we hope this will become and annual event. Thank you for everyone who supported the students in this great program.
