On Jan. 24 the MacArthur Girls Track and Field team won their conference meet for the fifth time in a row. This meet was held at the new indoor track at St. Anthony’s High School, where the girls scored 210 points, which was a school record, and scored in all events except for three.
Captains Jenn McLaughlin, Gina Nocerino, and Lucia Montefusco led the team and all three scored in multiple events. Also scoring in multiple events were Maria Montefusco, Nicole Santaniello, and Elena Hegel. Most of all it was the depth that the team showed, having freshmen and sophomores scoring points and becoming individual champs.
Kristina Coiro, Kelly Clifford, Jessica Race, Jessica Hirsch, Casey Hein, Kristena Romano, and Heather Van Patten led the underclassmen. Congratulations to all the girls, it was really a team effort.
