I would like to thank the communities of Floral Park and Bellerose for their support for me in the school board trustee election. I will do my best to maintain the standards that we have set for the education of our children while looking to keep our taxes reasonable.
It was also nice to see the component communities of the Sewanhaka Central High School District support the high school budget so strongly.
The support of our communities for passing the budget overwhelmingly is very encouraging. Thank you for using your right to vote, and in so doing, you have made it clear that our communities, in these rough financial times, are concerned about the education of our children.
This board of education and our communities should be proud that our school district spends less per pupil (per year) than any other district in Nassau County, yet our test scores are among the highest in the county.
